Our first gigs of the summer are starting to come in. We open our summer tour on May 30th (Memorial Day Weekend) in Palatka, FL. ('bout 100 mi S. of Jacksonville) at a outdoor festival on a Sunday night. We've got other dates in FL we're adding, but don't have confirmations yet. Hope to see our FL friends at the show(s). NEW Single Release...

Just like to announce that Toler/Townsend Band will be releasing our second single from our self titled album. This coming Monday, March 1st around 300 Triple A radio stations and quite a number of Roots and Americana stations will be receiving the single via Jim Nelson's "A Taste Of Triple A" sampler, a monthly issue which always contains the top new releases in Triple A. Be on the lookout for "Ugly Rumors".....

Wild Man Steve...

This morning I did a fun interview with Wild Man Steve of the internationally popular internet radio station at http://www.wildmansteve.com/.
The interview centered around my relationship with my long time friend and music partner
"Dangerous" Dan Toler and our current, self titled CD "Toler/Townsend Band".
The interview started off with a bang by Steve playing "Ugly Rumors", from the CD. Our conversation took a brief wander down memory lane recapping stories and anecdotes from the past, and brought us back to the present with current info on the new CD and our kick ass band, ending with the centerpiece of the CD, "Novato Moon".
I always enjoy meeting new and interesting people. Wild Man Steve is a treat and he plays some great music on his station. You should check it out...

TOLER/TOWNSEND BAND CDS now available on Amazon.com. and iTunes I guess I'll never cease to be amazed at the technology. Our distributor, Burnside Distribution Corp, has our CD up on Amazon.com plus downloads are now available on over a hundred internet sites. What's it been, like 3 days. Hell, if I had to walk to the grocery store and back, it would take me 3 days....lol.

KICKING IT OFF...

Hello,
We're starting this blog off with and announcement about the upcoming U.S. release of our CD, "Toler / Townsend Band" on Garage Door Records. The release date is October 5, 2009 and it will be in stores and all the usual online download outlets like iTunes, Amazon and among others.
We're also working on live performance dates for this fall and will post where and when as soon as they're booked.
Danny Toler's doing several radio interviews in Florida this week. As soon as I find out the cities and the stations I'll give you a heads up. Danny gives great radio interview and I think you'd all enjoy listening.
